Section 01
By installing, accessing, or using the Anchor browser extension or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Trading Anchor LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, operating the Anchor browser extension and related services ("Anchor," "Company," "we," "us," "our").
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Anchor, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Anchor is a browser extension designed to help traders enforce personal discipline and risk management rules while using TradingView. The Service may trigger cooldown timers, journaling prompts, lock screens, and related behavioral safeguards when predefined conditions are met.
Anchor does not:
All trading decisions and their consequences remain solely your responsibility.
Access to Anchor is provided through a recurring subscription following a free trial period. By starting a trial, you authorize Anchor to charge the applicable subscription fee at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial period expires.
Subject to these Terms, Anchor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial trading purposes on up to two (2) devices per active license.
You may not:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Anchor expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
You acknowledge that no software tool can guarantee behavioral compliance, and that the Service may fail to trigger, malfunction, or be unavailable at any time.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANCHOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE — WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE — SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU PAID TO ANCHOR IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
IN NO EVENT SHALL ANCHOR BE LIABLE FOR:
This limitation applies regardless of whether Anchor has been advised of the possibility of such damages and regardless of the theory of liability.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, Anchor's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Anchor and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with:
Trading futures, derivatives, and other financial instruments involves substantial risk and may result in significant or total loss of capital. By using the Service, you explicitly acknowledge that:
Anchor may trigger a lockout, cooldown overlay, or lock screen at any time, including while a trade is open or actively being managed. Users are responsible for ensuring their positions are closed, hedged, or otherwise managed before conditions that could trigger a lockout are met.
By using the Service, you acknowledge this risk and agree that Anchor bears no liability for any financial outcome resulting from a lockout occurring during an active trade.
If you experience a lockout during an active trade and cannot manage your position, you should immediately uninstall the Anchor extension from your browser to restore full access to TradingView. Uninstalling the extension removes all Anchor overlays and restrictions instantly.
The Service, including its design, code, content, trademarks, and brand elements, is owned by or licensed to Anchor and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. You may not use Anchor's name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and canceling your subscription.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@tradinganchor.net and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in Michigan. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Small Claims: Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in lieu of arbitration, provided the claim qualifies.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Risk Disclaimer available at tradinganchor.net/legal, constitute the entire agreement between you and Anchor regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.

Section 02
Anchor is designed with a privacy-first architecture.
All user configuration data, journal entries, session tracking information, and trading-related behavioral data are stored locally on the user’s device using browser storage.
Anchor reads visible content from TradingView only as needed to perform its core function, including detecting broker context, profit-and-loss values, and rule-violation conditions within the page interface.
Anchor does not transmit trading activity, trading journal entries, or behavioral session data to external servers.
Anchor does not access broker credentials, brokerage accounts, or trading platform authentication systems.
License key validation is performed by transmitting your license key and an anonymous device identifier to Anchor’s servers. This verifies your subscription status and enforces per-device activation limits (maximum two devices per license).
The device identifier is a randomly generated ID (UUID) created on first use and stored locally on your device. It is not tied to any personal information, hardware fingerprint, or browsing activity.
The email address associated with your purchase is stored in Anchor’s database, received from Stripe at the time of payment. The extension itself does not transmit your email address. Your email may be used to contact you regarding your subscription, product updates, or important notices. It is not sold or shared with third parties.
No trading activity, session data, or journal entries are included in any server request. License and activation data is stored using Supabase.
Payments and subscription management are handled through Stripe. Stripe may collect and process information in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies.
